“The beach?” Colin said, suddenly interested. “That could be fun.” In his mind, he imagined the clear sparkling blue water, and the buttery soft yellow sand, his favourite yellow beach umbrella planted firmly to provide shade, a cooler of beer and Penelope stretched out beside him in luscious two piece, book laid out in front of her as she kicked her feet in the air behind her and read the most filthiest passages out loud to Colin. It would be like they normally did curled up on the lounge on a rainy day, biscuits between them, rain hammering the windows, except this time in the sun, on the sand, tasting the salt on the air.
