Dose of Daydream
Reader - A young witch working at her grandmother’s potion shop. She has no formal training in magic, and despite a natural aptitude for it, fully expects to work at the shop for the rest of her unnaturally long life.
Opal - The reader’s grandmother, an elderly witch whose seen hundreds of years worth of life and has finally settled down to run her cute little potion shop with her granddaughter, who she formally adopted from overbearing parents. Dose of Daydream is her pride and joy.
Bijou and Jasper - Opal’s familiars, a set of calico cats she’s had for most of her life. Both are equally as standoffish and as smart-assed as a cat can reasonably be.
Karmilla (Karma) - A female Banshee from somewhere near Busan. Has an intense interest in potions and began working at the shop very recently.
The Bangtan Coven
Kim Seokjin - A sorcerer, born with innate magic and probably as old if not older than most of the current fey and elves in Korea. Maintains magical and social connections within the community and is well respected amongst humans and supernaturals. Keeps a greenhouse of hundreds of magical and non magical plants, cultivated by tiny gnomes and a resident dryad.
Min Yoongi - A Phoenix, one of the few left in Korea. His former flock are one of the few major groups of his kind in existence, though they are a smaller group. Preferring solitary, Yoongi chose to join the smaller Bangtan coven when Jin, Namjoon, and Hoseok first formed it. He currently produces music, though his primary concern as of late has been keeping the younger members of the coven in check.
Jung Hoseok - A fey, old and powerful and the youngest son of the current monarch in his court. Though he rarely crosses the boundary anymore, much preferring to remain on the prime plane. He enchants items for Namjoon’s shop and takes outings briefly with the others, but prefers to stay as close to the house as possible, especially now that he’s tending to a budding fairy mound he’s erected behind the house.
Kim Namjoon - An elf, an ancient one, well over a thousand years old and still going. Specializes in defensive and healing magic. He currently runs a rather popular magic shop across town where one can purchase a number of magical items specially enchanted by himself, Hoseok, or Jin. It is the covens’ primary source of income outside of Jin’s financial deals with other magical creatures and humans.
Park Jimin - A True Shifter, one of the rarer breeds of shifter capable of transformation into just about every magical and non-magical creature in existence. Jimin prefers feline forms, most commonly found lounging around as a house cat or their larger, wilder cousins.
Kim Taehyung - A Warlock, the male equivalent to a witch, born with some innate magic but relying primarily on learned specializations and prepared spells. While lacking the raw and instantaneous power of a sorcerer like Jin, Taehyung has come a long way in preparing small charms and is breaching into more detailed and complex spells, under the careful watch of his Hyung.
Jeon Jungkook - A Vampire. While already about a hundred and fifty or so odd years old, Jungkook has just begun to leave the adolescent stage of vampirism. Being abandoned by his original sire, he found himself taken in by the Bangtan coven. He’s easily distracted and prone to loss of impulse control, but his valiant efforts and a few special enchantments from Namjoon and Seokjin have allowed him to enroll in the local university.
