“Kacchan!” Izuku gasped, fumbling over him, words spilling over Katsuki like sheets of rain—too much and all at once, “What happened? Are you okay?” and as Katsuki felt the inviting tug of sleep pull at him once more, he realized he wasn’t going to get a lot of time to say much of anything to quell Izuku’s panic before settling completely underneath the dark current of unconsciousness.
“Quirk…” he managed, the letters slurring together in his mouth, his heartbeat coming slow and steady in his ears. The rhythm was comforting, like a lullaby softly coaxing him to sleep, and he felt his eyelids drooping again just as he forced out, “M’tired, ‘Zuku.”-
Katsuki gets hit with a sleep quirk that puts him out of commission for a few days. Izuku relives his guilt over being too late to save him. Both of them have to deal with memories from the past.

Averting his gaze, Katsuki looks down at the cat-themed vase.
“I thought you might like it,” he starts behind gritted teeth, voice notably strained under the pressure of this bizarre feeling that has consumed him. “Or something.”
“Or something,” Shouto echoes softly, stroking over the head of the cat like he’s petting a real one. Like this is something he treasures and will treasure for a lifetime.
Holy shit.
Eyes crinkled in the corners, Shouto hums.
“Katsuki,” he says, voice swathed in something far too tender. He stops short at the name, almost as if savouring the shape of it. “How would you like to be a permanent fixture in my home as well?”
Mark this down as the clumsiest yet weirdly charming confession in history.

Guilt and shame and a hundred other ugly feelings rear up inside him as he understands. Why would fourteen year old Izuku believe anything Katsuki told him? When the only Katsuki he knew was the terrible bully he'd used to be. Katsuki feels a little nauseous. He thinks about his Izuku and hopes he's okay.

Bakugou's eyebrows furrow. "What the fuck does that mean? What kind of dream?"
"A bad one." Bakugou does not look like he is going to be satisfied with that, so he adds, "You were dead."

Gentleness had never come naturally to Bakugou. Not like it did for people like Deku. Or Kirishima. Or Mina, or Jirou - or anyone else All Might would have picked a million times over, before Bakugou could even be considered to be his successor.
But all of that stops mattering, when an impromptu trip to the beach turns to disaster. Bakugou finds himself entrusted with something far more delicate than he can handle.
...And the situation quickly reveals to be much, much worse than they could have imagined.

"What the fuck, Halfie!? You told fuckin' Dunce Face about us!? He'll tell everyone and their shitty grandmas," Katsuki shouts. To anyone else, they'd probably assume Katsuki's rough voice and narrowed eyebrows would mean he'd drop him, kick him in the stomach and throw an explosion in his face for good measure. But Katsuki tightens his grip instead, lips pulled down in what could almost be described as a pout.
Shouto wants to kiss it off.
"I only asked him what it meant, though he did try to pry into why I wanted to know," Shouto says, but his explanation does little to dissipate Katsuki's unimpressed glower. Shouto smooths his thumb over the crease between Katsuki's eyebrows, pressing a chaste kiss to it when it doesn't relax. "Besides, I'm pretty sure everyone knows now."
Or, the war has ended, Katsuki and Shouto kiss even though everyone's watching, and Katsuki has a promise to keep.
