Chapter Text

A young girl with horns of fire sat on a stool of the doctor waiting room, her mother sat a whole seat away, looking somewhat concerned. A nurse saw the young girl and smiled, kneeling before her.

“Hey there, Are you Morishige Miwa?” She asked the girl nodded.

“Great, you are in for a treat today, Doctor Midoriya has asked to see you personally.” The nurse smiled

“D-Doctor Midoriya?” Miwa repeated.

“Yes, one of your younger doctors, but no doubt our most brilliant! He is the leading doctor in Quirks, so you are in safe hands!” The nurse told her. “He’s ready to see you if you are ready to go in?”

“I-If I am not ready?” Miwa asked

“Then there would have been no point bringing you here!” Her mother glared. “Would have been easier and faster to get quirk suppressants.”

“Ma’am, that can highly disruptive the development of a child's quirk, making them difficult and almost uncontrollable to the child. I do hope you are now aware that forcing a child to take them is a crime.” The nurse glare, the woman huffed and looked away.

“I…I’ll see him.” Miwa nodded

“Okay then, would you like your mother to come in with you?”  The nurse asked

“Don’t I have to anyway?” The mother glared.

“Not at all. You’ll find Doctor Midoriya has made many breakthroughs in how quirks develop, and parents are a huge effect. Sometimes, some children find it easier to talk to him without their parents… and I think this might be one of those cases.” The nurse crossed a box, Miwa watched her with wide eyes. “The doctor will see you alone if you agree, I will be in there too.” Miwa nodded, the nursed looked at her mother. “Please wait out her ma’am.” Miwa took the nurses hand and lead her down the hall. Miwa glanced into rooms she passed, the rooms were small, Miwa frowned. “Doctor Midoriya doesn’t have a room like that, he is a personal doctor, getting along with his patients on a personal level. Some quirks don’t do well in impersonal situations, or in small rooms.” The nurse smiled, stopping by a large door, she knocked. “Doctor Midoriya, I have Morishige Miwa with me.”

“Please come in!” Miwa was intrigued by the cheerful voice of the doctor, they usually sounded like they were in a bad mood. The door opened to reveal quite a large room, instead of chairs, there were bean bags. Upon one was a smiling doctor with bright green eyes. “Hi there, you must be Morishige Miwa, nice to meet you!” Miwa nodded, she glanced at the Nurse, who smiled softly and nodded, she nudged her forward. Miwa took a seat on the bean bag cross from the doctor. He was looking at a clipboard. “You’re quirk just manifested today, congratulations.”

“E-everyone says I’m a demon…” Miwa bowed her head.

“Well, that’s nonsense. Just because a quirk gives someone a dog head, does that stop them being human?” Midoriya asked Miwa shook her head. “Then your quirk doesn’t make you a demon, ignore what people say, show them they are wrong… if it continues you can easily get them in trouble for quirk discrimination.” He said in a matter-of-factly tone.

“Doctor.” The nurse scolded playfully. “He is very vocal on how people are treated due to what their quirk is, or their lack of one.”

“It’s a big issue! Anyway, let’s see what you can do okay? I’ll be taking a few notes.” Midoriya smiled. Miwa found herself nodding.

By the end of the session, Miwa was beaming, Dr. Midoriya was on his back laughing, his hair slightly smoking.

“Awesome!” He pushed himself up and taking hold of his clipboard. “It seems the horns are just the visible indication of your quirk. It has been known to happen, like people getting a different eye color upon their quirk manifesting. You can control the heat of the fire… typical Pyrokinesis, um… I can have a training plan sort out by tomorrow, your mother will have to come in and collect it with you.” Midoriya smiled, sighing something on the board. And gave Miwa a slip. “Now, if you take this to the front desk, they will set up a series of meetings with me. I will help you rein in control of your quirk.” Miwa flushed, and beamed

“Thank you!” She said.

“It’s my job to help. You take care now.” Midoriya smiled Miwa nodded and left with the nurse. The doctor went to his desk and got on to his computer, and began to catalog the information he had discovered in that meeting.

“Doctor, it’s time for your break.” The nurse peeked her head into the room.

“I know, I am almost finished.” Midoriya replied, it was true, he just had two notes left to type up.

“Sir, you know he will be calling you in a bit.” The nurse added slying, Midoriya sighed and smiled, saving the files and turning in his chair to face her.

“True.” He nodded. “I’ll start heading to the café then. If there ….”

“Is an emergancy, call you. I know.” The nurse nodded. “Have fun.” She waved him off. Izuku changed from his doctor coat to his black on and headed out. Looking at his phone waiting for the call he knew was going to get. He was half way to the café when it came through, he quickly answered the call.

“Good afternoon.” He said joyfully. There was a soft laugh from the person on the other side of the call.

I suspect your having a good day from that tone.” His boyfriend said softly.

“I’ll tell you about it at the Café, I am almost there now.” Izuku smiled.

I am already here. I will get your usual, see you in a bit babe.” The call ended, and Izuku smiled feeling giddy. He picked up his speed and hurried to their usual Café.

Sero Hanta was sitting in a corner seat, people staring at him. He was in his hero costume, having a lunch break whilst on duty. Though, during an interview, Sero had made it clear that if he was seen in that café, he was likely meeting with his boyfriend, so asking for autographs or any picture taking during that time was not appriated. Sero had met Midoriya straight out of High school. He was a sidekick, Midoriya was already taking the the world by storm with as a quirk speicialist. Sero had been taken with him the moment they both met at a gathering between heroes and other people with high status jobs in society, but both being socially awkarkward around crushes they both stood next to each other, blushing like idiots. Sero smiled at the memory, Midoriya had been quick to shut down an insult towards him about his quirk, what he knew by simply knowing his quirk… he was amazed. And that’s where their friendship began. They didn’t start dating until just before Sero become a pro at the age of 24. And here they both were, 5 almost 6 years later. He sipped his green tea as he waited, he glanced up everytime the café door opened, but finally, Midoriya Izuku walked in. He smiled as Midoriya caught his eye, the greenette lighting up at seeing him. Midoriya settled in the seat across from him, ignore the eyes of surprised fans.

“Afternoon.” Midoriya smiled.

“Seeing you today has been a highlight.” Sero said, Midoriya rolled his eyes, taking the additional cup Sero had before him. Humming lightly at the strong coffee.

“You always say that. Have many call outs?” Midoriya asked

“None yet. Been on partol most morning. Help cat down from a tree, the typical smaller jobs that make the job just as enjoyable.” Sero smiled. Midoriya chuckled lightly.

“Cellophane, the cat-rescuing hero. Cute” He said.

“I am not as cute as you sweet Pea.” Sero teased “Anyway, anything interesting happen today, for you?”

“The same old, Got a call from America though, they want to transfer me a new paient.” Midoriya sipped his coffee.

“Another one, didn’t they call about the same thing like.. two weeks ago?” Sero frowned.

“Different person.” Midoriya told him. “I am always happy to help up, but sometimes… they need to realise some of the cases they want to give me aren’t that hard at all and could easily be done by them. I am considering changing how I accept new cases… at most sending a list of things to the other countries whent hey try giving an unnessarcy case.”

“Sounds wise.” Sero nodded

“Yeah.” Midoriya smiled. “Bonus… all my work is done for the week, except for a few afternoon appointments. So I can actually make it home tonight.”

“Perfect, fancy getting that take out you like?” Sero suggested.

“We could, or we could get food from that pizza place you like.” Midoriya smiled

“We got pizza last time, we should get that take out.” Sero told him, Midoriya  took a sip of his drink.

“Then I’ll get drinks then.” He said. “No arguments.”

“Fine.” Sero chuckled, knowing it was impossible to argue with his boyfriend. They spent the last of their break discussing plans for that night. When their breaks were over, they shared a quick kiss outside before heading off back to their work.;'
