I took Toph and threw her in Naruto.
Passing away after a long, fulfilling life, Toph was content to leave things be.
Her children grown, her grandchildren well on their way, her students had passed on her teachings, and she had even managed to get twinkle toes to grow a backbone.It was a good life...Too bad it's not over.
With a whole new world to explore, Toph is determined to escape the confines of her new family and avoid the notice of the village.
...Right after finding her missing clan members and stopping a mass murder. She's not about to let that pass while she's here.

They had sent her catapulting through time with an experimental seal that the Yondaime had crafted, untested (naturally); of course, she was going to be pissed as hell. The seal-based space-time teleportation obviously caused her to be so disoriented, she likened it to the chakra sickness when she expelled too much too fast. So, it really came as no surprise the first person she happened upon was the heir apparent of the Uchiha clan.
Or the fact that she decked him on sight.
And he was thrown several meters against a tree which ultimately disintegrated under the force of her punch.
Or that he fell in love. Almost instantly.
Actually, it took a few more years for him to really accept it but the heir of the Uchiha clan did eventually fall in love with the pink haired fairy that apparated out of kami knows where.

A civilian looks at a blonde haired boy hated for who he is, and thinks- he’s just a child. She looks at the lone survivor of a massacre be revered and idolized and thinks- he shouldn’t be alone. She looks at a pink haired girl with insecurities on top of insecurities and thinks- well, that won’t do. (And she glances at Kakashi, because she already knows him, and says she’s helping him whether he wants it or not.)
In which someone who will never quite understand them helps them understand themselves, because you don’t need to understand someone's struggles to love them.

Summary
Sakura is lost, injured and alone in a forest far from home. The circumstances that led up to this are much less clear. A mysterious mental fog blankets her mind, impenetrable and obfuscating her memories.
After scouring the land, she arrives at the horrifying conclusion that she’s been transported back in time to the Warring States era. Incredibly out of her depth, she has to navigate the old nation’s dangerous climate without becoming ensconced within their politics – a feat easier said than done, for a clan-less kunoichi.
It's just her luck that the Uchiha start sprouting from the woodwork. It seems she can't escape them, no matter what century she's in.

Shino’s beetles were crawling over Naruto’s arms, more visible than usual as the blond had taken his jacket off and hung it over the back of his chair. It was damaged from Sasuke’s fire again and smelled strongly of smoke. Kiba eyed the beetles like he always did and finally asked the question he’d been keeping in for weeks. “Why are you so comfortable around them?”
Naruto looked once again baffled. It was a familiar expression for the boy. He looked down at the beetles marching in circles over his skin and then said, “They’re normal, right? His bugs don’t even bite or anything!”
“They’re normal for me, yes,” Shino said. “My clan are the holders of this particular species of parasitic beetle.”
Naruto just shrugged, “Whatever, I like your bugs a lot more than mine.”
Shino cocked his head to the side, “What?” he asked.OR
Naruto's apartment is horrible and unhealthy and Shino realizes just how bad a spot Naruto is in. He can't just stand by and let it continue, can he?
