Things That Keep Me Up At Night
I have a terrible habit of bookmarking anything I like or find even remotely interesting and it's gotten to the point where I can't pick out specific fics from the pile. Henceforth, I'm putting the favorites of my favorites here, ones that I personally adore more than the rest. Typically those that I've caught myself re-reading again and again. This is NOT a collection of the best works out there, some will be far from it actually, but these are the ones that made an impact on me one way or another.

Summary
Tommy Innit may not be the most well-behaved kid or even the best person at times, but he certainly deserves better than to be abducted by aliens. Luckily for him, the aliens didn't seem to expect him to be able to break out of the stupid cage they stuffed him in and destroy their ship from the inside out.
Now he just has to figure out where to go from here.

“We’re building a homeless shelter,” Technoblade blurts.
That’s not-- what?
“What?” Wilbur echoes his thoughts. That-- he doesn’t understand.
Technoblade repeats it. “We’re building a homeless shelter. It won’t be ready for a few days, but this time next week I guarantee it’ll be up and running.”
Wilbur shakes his head. This doesn’t make sense. It must be a trap, a way to gather them all in one building to make it easier to take them all.
“I promise,” Technoblade insists, “It’ll be done by then. It’ll have blankets, food, good food, a warm space, even rooms eventually.” He takes a step forward, and Wilbur staggers back. He keeps Tommy cradled against his body.
This can’t be real. It’s a trap. Technoblade is lying.

Or, Wilbur has five kids (some of whom are magic), trust issues, fiercely loyal friends and a knife against a kingdom actively trying to conscript him or kill him by any means necessary.
It's a good thing the Antarctic Empire is looking to expand its borders.

Quackity had always drawn the short stick in life until he was picked up by Schlatt off the streets to become something greater. Little did he know he'd become the center of attention of a piglin, one of the most terrifying specimens in Schlatt Industry's Main and most hazardous facility. While trying to still salvage his own life with practiced survivability, he finds he might actually have a chance at something far greater than what he ever thought he was worth, if only he can gamble properly.
aka a mostly Quackity-centric with other POVs here and there in an Experimentation Facility/Foundation AU where the Sleepers have some insane powers and are exploited for the 'good of all' through experiments and greedy pockets.
===>Note:<=== When I started writing this story years ago, Wilbur was featured as a scared 11 year old kid, nothing like his dsmp or cc, throughout every chapter. Upon the allegations and admittance to Wilbur becoming an abuser, I took a long break between chapter 36 and 37 in order to revamp the way I wanted this story to continued. In Chapter 38 he is effectively written out of the story and will remain that way until the end of the story where things will wrap up.

"Wait, blind?" Techno peered harder at the communicator. Wilbur stopped laughing. "How the hell is he able to slip by you then?"
"Uses the air currents like feelers, I think," Dream's breath was coming heavier as he carried on running. "Gets an idea of where things are in relation to him. He doesn't always get it right, sometimes there are cracks in things big enough to feel like an escape route and he slams into a wall. Or he doesn't angle close enough to the ground and trips on things. He's uh-" Dream flipped the communicator around, and Techno blinked as Bad flew through the air, screeching the whole way. "He's slippery."

TLDR: Blindinnit has wind magic and gets himself adopted by the Antarctic Empire's royal family.

There is a house that is rotting on the end of the street. The roof caves in and the doors decay, yet it still stands. Something is inside, breathing, amidst the alliums that grow and take root and suffocate that which they touch. Something sits in a room, trapped, rotting in itself, for it doesn't know how to leave and it doesn't know how to die. That something, finally, is found.
