She felt frozen, the cold air biting through all her layers.
"I'm sorry, Dick," she whispered to no one. The sliver of moonlight cutting through the darkness to keep her company in her misery. "I'm sorry for never telling you how much I loved you. I'm sorry for pushing you away and hiding. I swear- I- if we loved again, I swear I'd love you right. I know it means nothing now and you aren't here, but I swear...." she trailed off with a broken laugh.
