god. i am absolutely in love with this. i love how richie associates eddie with the color yellow, and the feeling of home to it. i LOVE the fact that there are things that his body knows, his Heart knows, the part of his brain that KNOWS, but he just doesn't remember. its very bittersweet but gosh. Butter weeds and forget-me-nots :) dang it, how dare you make me emotional.
i love how, during the 27 years when richie forgets about derry, the losers, eddie, his body still reacts to things like the smell of cleaning supplies make him sick, lemons make him 'allergic' though hes sure he isn't. why yellow? why is it yellow hes so desperate to drown himself in? its because of the warmth and the means of it being 'home' or associating with something that once made him feel like he was home and GOSH i love this so so so much. its so bittersweet how you see that part of richie still desperately trying to find himself -
