When Herah entered Josephine’s quarters, making sure not to drop anything she was carrying on a tray, she couldn’t help smiling at the sight that greeted her.
She honestly thought she would be more nervous when she woke up, considering it was the first morning she got to spend with Josephine and Lace since they had talked about the relationship between the three of them the day before. However, as she saw Lace wrapping her arm around Josephine’s waist, all she could think was how fortunate she was, and how happy Josephine and Lace made her.
As soon as she walked up to the nightstand, she placed the tray down as quietly as she could.
“I could use something to eat.”
Herah turned her head to see Lace smiling at her, still clearly sleepy as she rubbed her eyes lazily. The loose shirt she wore slipped a little bit, revealing one freckled shoulder, and Herah felt her cheeks flush at the sight. Somehow she managed to look away from Lace to focus on the food she brought, but just as she was about to pour juice into the cups, she felt someone tugging on her arm. Soon she ended up lying in bed once again, Josephine’s head pillowed on her shoulder, while Lace let out a quiet giggle, snuggling back into the pillow.
“Or I could wait a little while, why not,” she added, making Herah snort.
“It is far too early to be awake,” Josephine mumbled, and the mage pressed a kiss to the top of the other woman’s head.
“Good thing we don’t have to get up just yet, then,” Herah stated, smiling at Lace, who shimmied closer and wrapped one arm around Josephine once more, sighing happily.
Soon, all three of them fell back asleep, feeling content.
