Comment on You Should've Left the Lights On

  1. i'd love to hear if you have anything else to say about this fic! (or the others in general). comments, and morale by default, have been on the low recently 😔

i was very indecisive about how seri was going to approach her situation because she still lives in denial when it comes to taeoh. initially, my plan was for her to keep it a secret for like a couple of years but it seemed illogical. i also wanted to take time to sprinkle in hints of disturbances between taeoh and inha plus taeoh setting up his plans and backups and backups of backups.

thank you so much for your kind words💕💕💕your message made me feel much better than i have been in the past few weeks.

    1. I'm happy to hear you are feeling better.

in the initial comment I wrote I said that I didn't agree with Seri's choice. she's operating on fear nut o think TaeOh has more than proven himself with Taeri. he will step up and will surely have plans to still keep his dream alive.

And I guess you are right, she's in denial. it was thoughtful going to TaeOh mom but also cruel. she expects to keep that secret from her son if he ever went to see her?

I need more disturbances...lol. Inha is not asking enough questions...lol

      1. i get what you mean. imo seri feels guilty that taeoh sees taeri as his responsibility even though he doesn't need to be *anything* to her. plus she's seen the way he's grown up, how much he's sacrificed so telling him that she wasn't 'careful' would add to his burden. her perspective is too complicated and i feel she needs to grow up a little more (which she will) so that she can prioritise things better.

i also like to think that seri went to taeoh's mom not for him but to return a bit of normality to seo jisook's life. taeoh already isn't going to visit her (without seri's intervention) (+ as we see in the show, he makes everyone believe she's dead) because he likes being too careful. so seri thought the secret wasn't at risk.

inha hehehehe boy do i love writing him sometimes. taeoh and seri have been hiding things from him for such a long time that he still strongly believes that seri is *his* person. that she's more close to him than she could ever be with taeoh. that's why he respects her privacy and doesn't tell taeoh anything about her. because linking them two would be the last idea inha would ever have.
