Comment on My Splatoon Art Book

  1. Thx! Actually I just came back from taking a test as I type this comment so yeah, still busy unfortunately with a hectic test schedule.

I remember that I passed out moments after scribbling this, but I was really determined at that time because I really don’t like not drawing for long periods of time. It makes my brain feel dull/boring if that makes sense.

The first and only time (so far) I ever had a drawing drought was when I was in high school. I didn’t draw for months on end (most likely because I felt uninspired), and it really made my mind feel an odd kind of emptiness/gloominess. I didn’t make my brain work to draw something and instead I turned that off and mindlessly played Splatoon 2 lol.

I don’t want to make the same mistake again, so I try to make something within a month, even if my mind is telling me it’s too lazy to. Uni really is a test on whether or not you will keep engaging in your hobbies because it’s so draining to the brain (I can’t even play Splatoon 3 that often anymore unless there’s a splatfest going on).

    1. It's good that you push yourself to draw, even if you feel as though you can't. Very commendable.

I really hope you get some time to relax and draw after your test are done.

I don't mean to brag, but I had the opposite issue. (Not at college, just in general.) So much free time that I couldn't decide what to do with it, and so I would be indecisive on everything...

When you can do anything, you feel like doing nothing, I guess. Now I got stuff to keep me on a schedule and junk, so maybe I will get motivation back with writing and stuff.

Again, not trying to brag, just giving my two cents. I can't say enough, I hope you get some free time to do what you love. "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." or something.

Good luck on your tests. *Thumbs up*
