Chapter Text
***Luigi's POV***
Luigi laid there in the huge bed, she seems to like staring at ceilings a lot lately. She couldn't believe what had happened. They kissed! She had thought her feelings for him were one-sided, but the kiss had proved her wrong. It was an incredible and exhilarating experience, and Luigi never imagined that her first kiss would feel so amazing! She touched her lips, and the young brunette could still feel his lips against hers. It was a moment she would never forget as it was engraved in her memory forever. The girl in green blushed deeply and covered her face with a pillow, her cheeks felt so hot right now. Luigi couldn't believe it when she realized that what she felt for him was much more than just a silly crush. Her heart was beating so fast. The feelings the brunette was having for the big oaf were real; she was truly falling for the big Koopa and hard.
The girl in green flustered face suddenly became pale. She couldn't believe what she was feeling. Her heart was racing and her mind was spinning. She knew that Mario would be livid if he found out that she had feelings for his worst enemy. The brunette was horrified at the thought of what could happen if her brother found out. Luigi wouldn't know what to do or how to handle the situation. All she could do was try to keep her feelings hidden and hope that Mario never found out the truth. She could feel her eye twitching. Who was she kidding? She was doomed, he would never accept whatever this is and don’t get her started with her parents. It was best if she just went to bed, she was getting too frustrated just thinking about it, it was best to just leave it be for now.
The next day did not turn out as Luigi had hoped. She's noticed that certain Koopas and Koopalings were avoiding her, which is very unusual. She's not sure what's going on. She understands why Bowser's avoiding her, the same reason she's avoiding him. They shared their first kiss last night, and things are a bit awkward between them. Luigi can't help but feel conflicted about the Koopa King. She knows how she feels about him, but she's not sure what he feels or what her family would think. Plus, she can tell what the oaf is thinking, which makes things even more complicated. Luigi couldn't help but think to herself, "Who am I kidding?" Luigi sighed… she knew deep down that she had strong feelings for Bowser, and that her family's opinion shouldn't matter, should it? This awkwardness between them was making things difficult. She wished she could just talk to someone about it, but with everyone avoiding her, she felt more alone than ever. She craved a confidant, someone to turn to for guidance and support. She wished Daisy was here, she looked like a gal that could give some advice to her.
***Bowser's POV***
Despite his best efforts, he found himself constantly avoiding her. He also didn’t want to screw up and hurt her feelings. However, Bowser couldn't just ignore the over whelming sense of happiness he felt whenever he was around her. The king had never experienced such intense happiness before, well... he did have that feeling when the he adopted his children, but that was different. In fact, he felt even more elated now than he had on that special day. Was it wrong for him to feel this way though? He wasn't sure, but he couldn't deny the joy that filled his heart.
He knew deep down that avoiding her was not the solution. He needed to muster up the courage and confess his feelings to her. It wasn't fair to either of them to continue avoiding the situation, especially since they had shared a kiss last night. It might be scary, but it was the right thing to do. He just needed to find the right time and place to tell her how he felt. He couldn't shake off the feeling of terror and nervousness whenever he thought about confessing his feelings to her. His stomach was in knots and flips, and he didn't know how he was going to tell her. Nonetheless, he knew that it was something he had to do to avoid being unfair to both of them. Little did he know that his children were secretly scheming the perfect opportunity and circumstance for Bowser to finally confess his feelings to her, and vise-versa. It was evident that it was time for them to stop tip-toeing around each other and confront the elephant in the room.
***NO ONES POV***
the Koopalings could tell both their Papa and Mama Luigi purposely avoided each other for some odd reason. If one observed their interactions, one could see they were struggling to find the right words when they came across each other. They seemed hesitant and unsure of what to say or how to act, which only added to the tension between them. The kids knew something was up and started brainstorming a plan, each pitching in their own ideas. "Ew, seeing them like this just makes me want to gag," one of them stuck their tongue out in disgust but didn’t really mean it. "yeah! Grown-up stuff is so icky," another chimed in giggling. "Wait, does this mean Mamma Luigi is actually gonna be our mom if we do this?" one asked excitedly curios. The Koopalings had warmed up to Luigi really quick. It was as if they had found the mother figure they had been longing for. So they took it upon themselves to ensure that she became a permanent part of their lives. As the seven Koopalings continued to discussed their plan one proposed happily, "What if we lock them up in a closet!?" Another quickly responded, "Naa, how would we get them there in the first place anyways?" they pointed out the impracticality of the plan. Little did they know, their grandfather figure was standing behind them, observing their conversation.
"Maybe there's a better idea," Kamek said with a playful tone in his voice. The Koopalings were surprised to see him there, and they asked him how long he had been there. Kamek simply replied that it was a wizard thing. "Locking them up might work," he continued, "but a closet is not very practical. With your father being so big, a bigger room might be a better idea." They all nodded and agreed that a bigger room would be a better solution. So they continued to plot how they could get both of them in one room, so they could finally express their feelings to each other and get this overbearing tension over with. The kids were determined to assist their dad in any way possible, so they came up with a plan and named it 'Operation Hook Up' They were excited to get started and hoped they could make a real difference. The Koopalings knew that their goal would not be easy, but they were determined to succeed. And, with Kamek by their side, what could go wrong?
