      You're the one! I thought you were the one. But I didn't want to hunt down where you said it and make sure...

      I'll go in and fixy-fix the errors, thanks, the ones that aren't Thor being colloquial. And there will be more, I had a lovely idea back this spring about doing Loki and Tony, and lots and lots of gratuitous sex, but I had to wait until now to do justice to it.

      I'm thinking there will be more Thorki at the very end though. ...If Thor will cooperate (and Loki will have him back).

          I figured it was. So many of my good ideas are...

          You know, I am not much of a Thorki shipper, but part of it with me is just the whole sibling thing. I'm sorry, but brothercest is not a squee of mine; I just can't get past the fact that it's a total no-go when I think of my own siblings. The way I look at it is that where there is smoke, there is fire, and if a lot of people in a fandom are shipping this couple or that couple, it probably means you can get some heat in there by putting them together. ...That and since this one does end with some Major Character Death, I need someone to comfort Loki after.

            The brother thing for me is not even the issue.. (it is a fantasy world after all) but they just do not work for me. At all. It just doesn't compute.. *shrugs* I'm absolutely fine and dandy (and happy) with Hiddlesworth (and some fanart is amazing) but Thorki is a total Danger Area that I try to avoid as much as possible. Like Pepperoni, if you like.. *shudder* But yeah... *sigh*.. :)

              Oh, well I don't do Pepperony because I don't do het. ...That and Pepper's good qualities are all the same ones my sister has, and so I'll get into this pissed-off-at-my-sister vibe when I try to do her, I'll start being snarkier than I mean to be.

              Some things I can write, and some things I can't, but it isn't hard for me to write couples that I don't find interesting in real life, any more than it's hard for me to write a kink, just because I don't happen to share it. If a story needs something, and I know how to write it convincingly, I will go into technician-mode and do it that way, just putting in what I know is going to put my point across.

              As far as my own OTP, I'm still going to stick by TonyxLokixBruce,although you can pretty well pair any of those main three up with any of the other really good scientists from the Marvelverse, and I will also be very happy. Loki isn't the only one of them I would have fun pairing with Dr. Doom, for instance...

                I'm still not sure about this LokixDoom thing but you just keep loving it ;) I'm with you on the BrucexTonyxLoki one though..

                It's good that you can write stuff even if you don't 'feel' it/believe it, I don't think I can. My dislike (or worse) would get in the way..or I'd use them as a means to a much sweeter end ;)

                  There are certainly some lovely comics images, from the time when Doom and Loki were (briefly) allied. Of course you've got to ignore the hell out of canon, before you get anything sexual out of there, but I've seen fandoms build pairings out of less. And I've got to say that Doom's got a brain on him, and a lot of personal complexities. I like throwing his brain up against Tony's or Bruce's, and I love taking a cruel/manipulative Loki, and turning him loose on some of Doom's personal issues. ...Reed Richards on the other hand... I just can't get that guy to connect up with his own physical body enough to pair him with anybody besides Susan (and he still seems lucky as hell to have her).

                  Well with Thorki, it helps like hell that this is AU. Because some places where I've never experienced what the character is experiencing, I go to what I did experience at that age, and I excerpt the bits that fit with the situation. With canon situations, if I try to write Thorki... Well I think I managed it convincingly once, in a co-write I did, but first I had to throw all the good reasons why it wouldn't work at the couple, and then I had to find reasons to explain why this was an exception, and it would work anyway. We've gotten a lot of kudos on that story, so I guess I succeeded in making it believable... I think we've gotten more kudos on the TonyxLokixBruce story we wrote around the same time though, unsurprisingly, because I do a better job on couples I actually like.

                    You've tried to explain DoomxLoki before but except for powerplay between the two I don't really see much happening. But that's alright, right? :)

                    I really liked that story.. wished for more 'relationship' if you like but you explained it and it does make sense but one's free to wish.. ;)

                      Oh yeah, it is all about what works for you with these things ...unless you're wrapping your brain around someone else's pairing for the sake of a good story at any rate.

                      And I remember your commenting about that other one, yeah. I also remember that I've tried to at least look at the hard-R/soft NC17 version of what goes on between all the other couples I've written since then, because of that comment. Because unless there's a reason why the story shouldn't go there, it only seems fair to the readers to take it there for a while.

                        I was perfectly fine without the NC17 stuff ;) but unless they actually said it, it felt a bit 'Are they or aren't they?' at times. Sort of unsure (could be just me. Could've been super obvious to others, of course)

                          Naw, I think it felt super-obvious to us, because we were the ones plotting it. You've usually got a pretty good nose for stuff.
