The two teens held hands approaching the Torres' luxurious 3-story main home; they released their hold on one another within
view of the house; they ducked behind a large shrub a few hundred paces from the front door and engaged in the type of long,
languorous kiss - the kind that two lovers share after a 'bout' of very satisfying sex. They exchange whispered endearments before
parting; they only made it a few steps before - helpless to resist they started kissing again...THEN:

" ¡¡CALLIOPE...DIOS MIO !!"

"PAPI; MAMI - this I can never forgive!" She waved a hand at Ari's parents who sat fuming on one of the two sofas in the Torres
family salon.

"You can never forgive!" Carlos Torres thundered! Turning to his wife Lucia he hooted "¡¡SHE can never forgive US! ¿Do you hear these-
estupideces these -stupidities?!!"

Arizona spoke up: "Callie isn't stupid, with all due respect Sir! Neither of us can fathom how you can think this way in 2012!"

Daniel Robbins: You keep quiet, young lady - show some RESPECT to your elders! Mr. Torres, please accept our apologies.

Barbara Robbins: Your father is right Arizona. You apologize to the Torres' and then not another word!

Arizona snorted, side-eyeing her girlfriend. "She told me how closed and narrow your minds are but I refused to believe it;
it's 2012, right? No one could possibly still think this way - RIGHT? She was so pissed at me; stayed pissed for a week-"

Daniel growled, "Your Mother told you to SHUT YOUR MOUTH!, Arizona Robbins!"

Lucia Torres: Everyone should calm down; girls excuse us for a few minutes, please? Calliope - bring some iced tea, Mama.
Callie and Ari stem and stew briefly before they stomp out and into the kitchen. "Now...our daughters believe that they love one
another romantically which we do not agree with; it seems to me that the more we 'push against' them, the more we risk losing
them permanently when they turn 18 later this year."

'Are you suggesting that we stand aside and say nothing while they continue this disgusting and immoral behaviour - that we
abdicate our parental responsibilities? No. No. No!" says Dan. "No way!"

Barbara, hesitantly says "Maybe...DAN...maybe we should consider it"-

"I said NO."

Having cooled down somewhat, Carlos steps in with "My wife has a point; we won't have any influence over them once they are
18. I assure you that I share your concerns about the immorality and wrongness of our children's position, however...I am not
willing to lose Calliope before she can come to her own realization. We cannot speak for how you address Arizona; for our part
we will wait."

The Robbins couple whisper among themselves - at times HEATEDLY - at last Dan says "Alright. We just pray that they come to
their senses eventually."
