Hey! So, I have been gone for a while.....I'm the worst. I just kind of ghosted all of my fics and AO3 all together. Buuuuut I am here! And I'm ready to get back to it. My biggest hang up and why I am adding this here is:

I cannot figure out what to have Hyousuke’s quirk be!! I am just really at a loss, and it is eating at me. I keep thinking his mom would have to have a powerful quirk to mess with Katsuki so I had been thinking something earth or air oriented...Something that would complement his explosions in a way.

So, I am reaching out to all my lovely readers (if there are any anymore *sweat drop*) for some input. What should Hyousuke’s quirk be? Even just some general ideas would be great! I know we are all creative people on here, so I believe in you guys!

it's been a while I can't really think of anything I don't remember if we knew who bakugou even had the child with if we knew who the other quirk was maybe I could think of something. XD

    it could be earth manipulation, but he could also conduct explosions. Maybe you could also try an earth exploding quirk he can detonate any type of rock touching it with all 5 fingers, and eventually as his quirk develops to work on metal being a more purified version of earth.

    Something else you could try is his quirk being earth manipulation but later on he learns how to make the rocks explode giving him a more offensive, and defensive quirk.

I was thinking more and an air based quirk, for mom, and I think mostly because when I think of air I think of something a bit more unpredictable or flighty and if someone were to bounce on their kid and partner the relationship would be more of an intense whirlwind than a grounded solid relationship. For the little boy his quirk can be something like, he ignites explosions in the air, think combustion man from the last air bender haha. That's just an idea tho, those earth ideas other are coming up with are super good too! Good luck!

  why not something like oxygen manipulation? have you seen full metal alchemist? And if so, it is something like Roy Mustang's alchemy, it has to have a small spark, which could be generated by the skin of the child's fingers and it would handle the oxygen to make fire with that.

    Yes that is so good! That was my original thought but I couldn't put words to it! I just kept imagining it igniting due to the oxygen but I don't know enough about any of that to explain. Like when he's little it's like little fire crackers popping in the air.

      I was checking my inbox, and I barely see this, haha, well, I think right now I can explain better how it would look like:
      oxygen is more of a combustion, perhaps the skin of the child's fingers can be like flints, when he rubs or snaps them, a spark is caused that ends in a great explosion or fire due to the handling of oxygen

maybe the mom had a powerful sound/vibration quirk and hyousuke can make "blasts" of sound waves/vibration? like shindou, powerful enough to blast buildings apart, but instead of just waves passing through what he touches he can launch them like bakugou's explosions. idk that idea just came to me lol. or maybe something similar but with light/heat/energy instead of just raw kabooms?? and the mom was some descendant of the glowing baby, the first quirk user, so she's like rly up there in strength and personality? could be either raw light and heaat, and for the energy i was lowkey thinking like dbz style blasts lol. hope this at least sparks some ideas for you!

I have also been playing with the idea of Hyou having some kind of explosion breath or fire breathing. I thought that would be cool and I keep imaging him getting sick for the first time after it develops and the chaos of this small kid coughing out explosions 😅✨

I had trouble posting my original comment and as I was scrolling down to check for it I read Kai_Lei's suggestion and couldn't agree more to having a quirk like mustang's in full metal alchemist. How cool would that be! Even if they were tied up, they more than likely would be able to snap their fingers.

Unfortunately at the moment, I cannot think of a good quirk for him to have. If I think of one though, I’ll be sure to tell you! I am loving the absolutely shameless flirting that Shinsou is dishing out! Bakugou just doesn’t realize what a catch he is! I can’t wait for the moment that Shinsou actually gets to meet Bakugou’s kid!

Love it you're doing great. Also idea wise I'd love to see what would happen if hitoshi meets bakugo's kid without knowing it's Bakugo's kid like he gets lost or something and they bond

So I know it’s going on 2 years since you’ve updated and that’s fine! But if you still have any inspiration to continue, I have an idea!!

So Katsuki’s quirk isn’t just explosions, no matter what it says on paper. In my head, he has two parts to it the same way Todoroki does; he sweats a ‘nitroglycerin-like substance,’ and he can ignite it with his palms. And I really like the idea of the mother having a powerful earth-based quirk because it feeds the idea I already had since a few chapters ago.
Lava flow! According to my scholarly calculations, earth+fire=magma. When it first manifests, it could slowly flow/excrete from the glands/pores on his hands, and then after it grows or he trains it, it would be more like an eruption!!
Whether you have any intention of continuing this or not, I want you to know I Really Really enjoyed it, and this is the quirk I will be going with when I imagine more plot to this before I go to bed 😅

I think it would be water or like liquidy, have him be able to manipulate where his sweat goes or maybe atmospheric
