Summary
Kian Archeron, the eleven year old second son of the High Lord and Lady of the Night Court, is fed up with being excluded from the rest of the family because of his lack of wings and magic. He knows in his heart that he is a good fighter and deserves to train in Illyria like his cousins and brother have.
To prove himself, he sneaks out to Windhaven to join his older cousin and best friend, Leander Archeron, in his Illyrian training.
