Erskine Serum (Rogers)
The perfected serum exceeds peak human potential. It provides a number of traits, including regeneration, and significantly reduces aging. Dr. Erskine studied superhuman John Steele, dead Atlanteans, and various animals for a framework. He also used Vita radiation to stabilize his serum. While other serums have been developed, none produce the same results as with Steve Rogers.

Zola Serum (Barnes)
Barnes was initially given a version of the serum derived from Red Skull's blood. This allowed him to survive the fall from the train. He was experimented on further after he was recaptured. Increasing his strength, stamina, and durability.

Mutants
Mutants are not known by the public; they are only known by high-level government officials and through personal connections. Those with ‘gifts’ still disappear and are taken advantage of.
