“No.” Rae smirks. “It’s short for.. 'Rae-the-daughter-you-gave-up-for-adoption-sixteen years-ago,' that Rae.”

Izuku's quirk is known as Omenweaver it allows him to see glimpses of disasters as well as track where the people depicted in the disaster are located and draw the scenes he sees. After seeing his mothers death in a vision he tried to warn her... she didn't believe him and continued out to the grocery store that Izuku warned her would cause her death taking him with her and upon her arrival the exact event Izuku warned her about caused her death leaving Izuku to watch as her skin burns and the life fades from her eyes. Thinking it was his fault Izuku runs away from the scene leaving his old carefree life behind and starting his life on the street.
