Summary
In a sterile laboratory in 1965, a boy is brought into the world in ways no one should endure. He is watched, measured, and catalogued as part of an experiment that defies nature. His early childhood is spent under constant observation, shaped and exploited by the scientists around him. Always present are his small red striped socks, the only hint of color in a world of cold metal and harsh fluorescent light.
