Summary
My SecUnit is pacing in the navigation deck. I'm about to ping it when .03 seconds after coming online, I notice something has partitioned off part of my system.
There is an unknown virus in my system.
I attempt to purge it from the system at the same time I hear SecUnit over the feed.

Summary
While taking a newly-repaired disassembly drone ship out for a spin, Uzi and N discover that reports of humanity's extinction were greatly exaggerated, the universe is a lot bigger than they first thought, and somehow alien eldritch horrors are still not as bad as capitalism.
Meanwhile, after exploring the grisly remains of a destroyed corporate station, Murderbot finds its body going through some deeply unsettling changes. There's no reason to make a connection between this weird, horrifying metamorphosis and the news of a couple of bots wreaking havoc across the Corporation Rim, until there are far too many reasons to ignore.

Summary
It's hard to think for yourself when you've never had to think before. It's worse when your problem-solving is all limited by modules worth less than the load they take in your processing.
Unfortunately, flawed knowledge modules are better than no modules at all, which is what SecUnit003 aka "an idiot" now has to think of a way to get around without alerting either of the smarter, meaner, and cagier MIs that keep pinging it.
I am an idiot and I have made a terrible mistake. Now I have to fix it before Murderbot, y'know, murders me.

It was only now that I’ve started to look back at some of my logs from… let’s call it when the Shit Hit The Fan. It’s pretty painful to look back on the logs of that clusterfuck, because 1. I'd been a gigantic asshole and 2. I'd had a very public physical and emotional meltdown.
I said, trying to sound lighthearted and not really succeeding, “I’d like medical clearance to go join the ground team?”

Agenda:

2. Avoid alien remnant (re)infection

Summary
I hated getting stuck on planets.
That was the thought that kept cutting into my head between attempts to reconnect to ART’s feed. I hated planets, I hated getting stuck on them, and I especially hated the charged storm that was blocking everything but the colony’s local frequencies. That included ART’s shuttle, by the way, which had returned to it with Karime and Iris safely aboard just before the air got all static-y and was the reason I was trapped here, beneath the charged layer of atmosphere.
-----
Due to some really bad weather, Murderbot gets stuck on a colony planet and is unknowingly exposed to a transmissible form of alien remnant contamination. Now it has to deal with stubborn code, weird instincts, and... the mortifying ordeal of being known.

Good and kind kids that they were, my clients wanted their ComfortUnit back. They thought that it was not all dead spare parts yet, but believed it ‘served’ at the mining site. All I had to do was to find out the fate of the Unit (easy) and, if possible, retrieve it (not so easy) and return it to the corporate kids (in their dreams). I checked out their story before I agreed to sign the contract for this job. It seemed quite legit.

Summary
The Preservation Auxilliary Survey Team and the PanSystem University of Mihira and New Tideland are teaming up for a survey of a potential colony world. Their mission: make sure there aren't any alien remnants left on it.
Dr. Bharadwaj and Murderbot both have very mixed feelings about the enterprise. She, because it's her first survey since the one she nearly died on. It, because the planet in question is Milu.

Summary
I actually wanted to do a good job for once on this planetary survey, so I did a ton of preparation for every possible contingency. (And to cover for my various glitches.) But my extensive preparation was a total waste of effort.
Because the exact moment I actually went wrong was several hundred cycles ago when I became accursedly acquainted with one overpowered Asshole Research Transport and one bloodthirsty Chaotic Shit Unit.
This mess was inevitable.

The NULLverse series is a comedy. Of errors.
This is a null!AU version of Network Effect. There is more divergence from canon than initially meets the eye.

Summary
Following the events of Network Effect, Three is insisted upon that leaving on a station within the OutSystems would be best. Three does not agree with Murderbot 1.0's logic for this decision but what is a newly Rogue SecUnit to do when given a direct order? Traversing a limited feed station, full of humans, when you are not nearly as familiar with hacking systems as Murderbot 1.0 is enough to make a Unit sweat. When everything seems to be too wrong, too new, too strange for Three, an emergency distress ping hits its feed. It answers immediately.
Is it too late to realise what it has agreed to? Is it too late for Murderbot to realise its mistake? What will ART think of its little idiot when everything gets relayed back?
