Louis' nerves fluttered low in his stomach, but he told himself it was just annoyance. That same tight, slow-burning irritation that came any time he saw Harry Fucking Styles in the hallway with his crisp uniform and dark curls and unreadable eyes, the way he always seemed to know exactly how to twist Louis’ last nerve and walk away with that maddening half-smirk. He was always so professional, so calm no matter what was happening, and that infuriated Louis more than anything.
They hadn’t flown together in months, but now, according to crew scheduling, they’d be locked in a cockpit together for six hours and 18 minutes on their way to Burbank.

“Baby, I think a quick trip to A&E might do you some good, hm?” Louis keeps his voice as calm as possible. He doesn't want to startle Harry or make him scared, but he knows that Harry’s fever is too high and he can't risk Harry choking himself into another attack when he's so poorly.
He hears a sharp intake of breath come for Harry and he knows Harry is starting to panic. Louis moves his hand from Harry's hair to his back, rubbing circles into his sweat-soaked shirt.
“No, no. Shh, don't worry, darling. Everything is okay, you’ll be okay. I just know that the doctors will be able to make you feel much better much sooner than I can...Just want you to get healthy as soon as possible, okay?”

Harry is having the time of his life at Coachella until it all catches up to him. Asthma and a missing ring remind Harry that he's only human, forcing him to slow down and take a break in little space. Luckily Louis is always prepared to catch Harry when he falls.
