Summary
Betrayed not once but twice, Narinder receives mercy from the Lamb following his defeat. He will bide his time for a chance at revenge, even if it takes another thousand years.
Lambert decides to take a page out of Narinder's book and become someone willing to wait. They will befriend the now-furious god they fell for, even if it takes a thousand years.
Too bad the Mystic Seller had to drop a boulder into still water. The Bishops get involved in their lives once more, and Narinder only gets more enraged as one by one they make their reappearance. And like some leech taking a ride for the fun of it, a disgusting illness sneaks its way into his mind.

A goat and a lamb, both the last of their respective kin. Victims of a prophecy foretold long before their time, one held fire in her heart and the other ice in her veins. Forced by circumstance, the two forged a bond like no other. Lambert founded Cat's Cradle two thousand years ago by the grace of The One Who Waits. Most people in the former cult now faith don't remember why it was even started, many now being born in the large town built over ruins. Only four really remember why all of this was made, The Crucible. They are the disciples of Lambert and over see the cult in different ways, often making sure things keep running while The Lamb is away. Now after all these years they have seen what they had all been waiting for, the freedom of their God. Only it wasn't what they were expecting. The One Who Waits seems to be mortal and things just keep getting weirder.
Now Lambert along with their Crucible will need to come together, learning how strong their bonds are and grow new ones as a new age is coming. A New Faith is to be born. What this means they will all soon find out.

The story will be about Narinder recovering his divinity, while he is tormented by his own decisions and the psychological chains that he will have to carry.

Hard to do when you have a whole cult to run, gods to kill, and your wife keeps teasing you for crushing on your god. Especially when you have to pick between giving your life to free him or taking what might be rightfully yours.

When you play CotL, it becomes pretty obvious early on that you aren't really playing the good guy. The idea first introduced is that you are getting revenge for your fallen kin and freeing the one who brought you back to life, but by the end you are just as cruel as the ones who killed you.
This is really good storytelling, and I love it a lot.
But~
What if the lamb was the good guy? What if there was more to the cruelty of the bishops than simple greed for devotion?
And as a great man once said, "Could be gayer."
