Summary
Shortly after the takedown of Project Insight, Steve turns up at the tower with a quieter Bucky looking for a place to recover himself. It’s a solid plan, at least, until Clint walks right into Bucky, triggers their soul bond, and pretty much tosses Steve’s entire Bucky recovery plan out the window. Bucky is probably not ready to further complicate his life with a soulmate, so Clint does the only decent thing and retreats to his apartment in Bed Stuy. Maybe he should have consulted with Bucky first.

A stupid electric stand mixer led to this, an incredibly dodgy meeting with lawyers who've said maybe ten words total. Hammer Industries claimed that StarkTech stole their design, Flutternutters, obviously a blatant rip-off of Butterfingers. Steve could be out having lunch with his husband and partner right now, but no, he was spending his Saturday afternoon in a meeting room.
Justin's eyes landed on Steve. “Someone once told me ‘poly' relationships are destined to fail. Maybe your money just isn't enough to keep him satisfied anymore. I mean, what does a little twink whore like him—”
“Finish that sentence, I dare you,” Steve growled, pointing at the CEO of Hammer Industries with his finger.
"—do to get laid? Dance around in skimpy lingerie like a slut?"
Steve saw red, more red, and only red.

She warned him again and again about turning friends into enemies, or in this case, teammates into lovers and then back to teammates. It's obvious that Stark had a type and apparently half the people in this room (if not all) fit into that category: a sentient being capable of simply looking in his direction.
(Or, Tony accidentally starts dating Superman and everyone he ever looked at is losing their shit)

Tony is bored. Tony is so bored and there is nothing to do in this stupid safe house except ignore his stupid bodyguards. He didn't want bodyguards to begin with, but did anyone listen to him? No. One little assassination attempt and they all freaked out and stuffed him here. Please. Just another day in the life of. But now he's here and he's bored and his not-so-stupid bodyguards are the only people who he has to interact with until this is over. Good thing they eventually hit on a way to keep him occupied.

Most of the times a kidnapping involved ransoms or threats or at the very least a super villain monologuing for at least an hour. Things they did not involve were upscale penthouses, chess, and the kidnapper making Tony dinner.

He didn’t know where his measuring tools were, so he just tried to eye how much of each ingredient he added as he went. It didn’t really work out, so he just made himself a bowl of cereal and got invested in Forensic Files on the television.
When Peter shows up to the compound, Tony eagerly suggests he joins him to cure some of his maximum boredom. To his chagrin, the teen has some homework to do in the kitchen. What kind of teenager does homework in the kitchen? Whatever.
