Summary
Serial killer au where Lochy becomes Saxon's accomplice during his murderous home invasions.
~~~~~~
Saxon keeps looking at the girl. He's licking his lips, eyes narrow and dark. Lochy’s seen that look in his eyes before.
His stomach is lurching just at the memory. He can't do this again. Not with a girl this young. Not with her parents still alive and hogtied eight feet away from her, watching through red, wet eyes as Saxon ravages their sweet, little girl while Lochy holds her down.
Lochy's in full on panic mode. He doesn't know what to do with himself. Doesn't know how to call Saxon off. He can't. Saxon is the leader. Saxon calls the shots. Lochy is merely a follower. He has no power over Saxon. Saxon holds all the power.
Saxon's stepping closer to the girl, his nostrils flaring, and Lochy, in a fit of pure desperation, lets his shotgun fall to the floor. He throws both arms around Saxon's neck and crushes their lips together.
Later, a fed in a suit asked the same question.
Saxon scoffed. “Of course not. Running off on his own, that's, it's completely unlike him. Never. Especially not without - uh, his phone. But seriously, not a chance.” -
Summary
In all his nightmares, he never could’ve imagined his mother giving up this house. She loved this place with every fiber of her being, crafted it into her dream with a small army of general contractors.
“Where will you live?” he sputters, reeling.
“The lake. Piper and I, while she works on her masters. Lochlan, when he’s home from school. And your father when he’s...back. And you, if you’d like to join. On the weekends.”
The lake. Of course. Private, secluded, gated. Somewhere no one could find them.
—
The Ratliffs flee to their lake house, but their baggage comes with. The summer that follows, in fits and starts.
Summary
Instead of quiet nights with Piper, and long conversations about whatever book she’d been reading or the evils of Monsanto or whatever, his nights more often than not featured Saxon sprawled out on his floor with his arms akimbo, bitching about the frigid harpies in risk management who kept shutting him down. Or – even more overwhelming – those nights when Saxon’s blue eyes would swivel onto him and suddenly he’d be the center of the conversation.
Summary
Saxon gives Lochy a special present for his eighteenth birthday, and perfect as it is, there's just one more thing Lochy desperately needs from him. A.KA. Lochy talks Saxon into taking his virginity, while a houseful of party guests wait downstairs right below them.
~~
“It's perfect. It is, but…” Lochy pauses to let himself breathe. His chest feels tight.
There have been many, many times Lochy has wanted to kiss Saxon, but this time…. this time’s different. It's affecting him in so many ways. Heating up his stomach. Changing his breathing. Making him feel like if he doesn't, he’ll literally burst at the seams. Just completely combust.
“But there's something else I desperately need from you.”
Lochy presses a hand to the side of Saxon's neck. His brother's skin is warm and thrumming under his fingers with his pulse as Lochy leans in and presses his lips to Saxon's.
He keeps his mouth closed, just gently moving his lips against his brother's. Pressing and puckering soft and slow. A way to test the waters before diving in.
Summary
“What class are they for?”
“Sophomore econ. I’m not expecting much.”
Lochlan taps his pen against the desk, leg jiggling again. He can’t help it.
“I took that class.” he offers. “You weren’t my teacher, though.”
Mr. Ratliff looks at him over the top of his glasses, uncapping his own pen. “No, I wasn’t, was I? I’d remember you.”
Summary
(Serial killer au where Lochy becomes Saxon's accomplice during his murderous home invasions.)
Lochy can't remember when or why he even started smoking. Hell, he doesn't even know where Saxon ends and he begins anymore.
More often than not, it feels like they're one. Melded together in a heap of fleshy codependency.
He used to hate these nights with Saxon. When his brother's monster got hungry and wanted to feast. When Lochy had to drop everything and pick up a shotgun. Put on his steel toed boots and carry a duffle bag full of rope, knives and bleach down to the car.
Now he's starting to like it a little. Not the killing so much as the thrill these home invasions give him. The anticipation of it. The way his stomach twists and his heart picks up speed right before they walk up to the door.
It's starting to grow on him. He feels it now as he and Saxon sit in their car outside their target’s house.
Summary
He thinks that maybe this is what their dad would have wanted, what God intended them to have done since the beginning– it felt so right, so perfect, each puzzle piece coming together to form this twisted depiction of love– Saxon and Lochlan, Yin and Yang, Good vs Evil– their love, forever undying.
Timothy gets caught earlier, seven years before the would-have-been Thailand trip— and a pseudo, twisted father-son relationship between Lochlan and Saxon ensues as Saxon takes over as their family patriarch- leading to complicated mistakes all in the name of grief.
Summary
(After three months of estrangement, Saxon feels it's time to try and repair he and his brother's relationship. He asks Lochy to meet him at a local diner, and things don't go quite as expected.)
“Try this.” Lochy pushed his milkshake towards Saxon, and the older brother found himself hesitating for a moment, as if taking a sip from Lochy's straw was somehow inappropriate.
It really wasn't. They ate and drank after each other all the time before Thailand. Saxon was just being paranoid. Treading too carefully as to not do anything that could possibly lead his brother on.
He internally scoffed at himself, realizing how ridiculous he was being as he reached to pick up the glass.
“Okay.” Saxon wrapped his lips around the straw. It was already wet and sweet from Lochy's first sip, and the warm feeling that came over him at the thought was overwhelming.
Summary
Saxon hated the guy from the moment he saw him. That this whole family holiday (plus the hanger on) was only happening because of him only made matters worse. As far as his family was concerned the sun shone out of Ashton Montgomery-Mathers’ ass. And Saxon couldn’t even call him a faggot because he was committed to being a better person. A less shitty one. Whatever. His little brother’s pathetic boyfriend was making that resolution hard to stick to.
Saxon thinks Lochy got himself a boyfriend just to fuck with him, but things aren't always so easily explained.
