Serizawa flushed a little, looking guilty. He hadn’t. Reigen knew he hadn’t.
“I guess not,” he mumbled, taking a toothpick skewer and carefully spearing a puffed golden ball.
Reigen took a seat opposite him under the pretense of eating his own, but mostly watched out of the corner of his eye. Serizawa chewed slowly, like he was afraid of doing something wrong. His shoulders relaxed only after the third bite, when the flavor fully set in. Reigen watched the slight curve of his belly, the way his belt sank in a little deeper beneath his desk now, soft and full.
Reigen’s head pounded.
