Summary
Visibility was bad in the rainy evening, but I could just see a group of figures, one taller and three shorter. They looked human. I approached.
“Lullah, you’ve got the light, right?” The taller figure was a human, augmented from the looks of the metal tracery on his temples. Two of the shorter figures he was talking to appeared to be human children, bad-weather gear slightly too large for them. “You stay close but head a little bit ahead of us, and Chayanne and me’ll keep watch, okay?” The augmented human had an injured arm bound to his chest, and was in the process of looping a rope around his shoulders to tow a sledge. He was wearing the same design of weather gear as the children, though his mostly fit.
“Don’t get too far ahead, Phil’s eyes aren’t very good,” said the figure on the sledge, which was a SecUnit with serious injuries.
