Summary
Back in an older time, the Kuroo family devoted themselves to serving their benevolent god and fulfilling His demands. Whether the price for His protection is high or low lies in the eyes of the beholder. But nobody argues that there's always one well that carries water and that the soil is always fertile enough to feed everyone for months when the next drought comes.
Life is peaceful until one day, a stranger, beautiful and beaten, walks into the church, bringing change and disaster with him and forcing Father Tetsurou Kuroo, the youngest in a line of respected priests, to face the questions he has chosen to ignore.
