Dipper stared at her face for a second, before snapping back to himself. “It isn’t another ghost, is it?” He mock scowled.
“No,” she chuckled, before sobering up. “It’s kinda embarrassing though. My dad still has all these… pictures and stuff of that triangle freak.”
Dipper took an involuntary step back, glancing around with paranoia. His voice was quiet. “You mean Bill?”
“Yeah.” She couldn’t help but glance around too, half expecting to hear that laugh or see one of those creepy bats. “I wanted to know if you’d help me burn it.”
Dipper let out a startled laugh. “I couldn’t think of anything I’d rather do more.”

They’re just friends. Of course they’re just friends. She’s one of his best friends.
He watches as she gracefully dances around the young man whose hand she now holds. Dipper’s not sure how she manages to stay on the tip of her toes like that, but he’s more distracted by the expression on her face than anything else. Has he ever seen her so at peace before? So beautiful? Well of course he’s seen her look so beautiful, his mind supplies unhelpfully. She’s gorgeous.
The music shifts in tone, becomes marginally darker, the horns taking over for the strings as the pair’s dance intensifies alongside Dipper’s thoughts. It reaches a floor, the bass rumbling throughout the theater, and then the strings are back, pulling up his thoughts into a sudden epiphany.

Tonight was the Northwest's annual Christmas masquerade ball. Normally, Pacifica would loathe the idea of a night filled with stuffy partygoers and plastering fake smiles, but this one was going to be different. This one would be special. This time Pacifica was expecting special guests. Ones she hadn’t seen since the summer and was desperately waiting for them to start having some fun. And if that fun included code names and mockery, well, it was about to be a Christmas unlike any other.
Or, Pacifica sneaks the Pines twins into her parents' Christmas party and shenanigans ensue as two oblivious dorks start to figure things out.

No one knew what hid in the darkness behind the trees, and most people weren’t willing to risk being stuck in there forever to find out. Children knew to avoid it on their way home from school, hunters knew if they wanted to go hunting, they would have to make the trip to a neighboring town’s forest, high schoolers knew not to plan parties or bonfires there. There were theories that witches lived there and stole people away for spells, or that there was a monster that ate anyone who entered, or even just a run of the mill serial killer who trapped and killed lost people. Whatever the truth was, it was understood throughout the entire town that the forest was not to be entered.
When Dipper Pines ignores all this and goes into the forest, he meets Bill Cipher, and they try to get out of the forest that no one has got out of together.
