The duo start running into each other more often and decide to keep it their little secret, until Walter starts to catch on that there's something suspicious between the duo. Nacha is convinced she now knows what she wants to do with her life with Francis by her side, but will her boyfriend stop her? Furthermore, can Francis put his deep feeling of guilt and anxiety aside to be the best he can be for Nacha and give her the support she needs?
Recommended for readers 16+. No knowledge of the That's Not My Neighbor game is needed to enjoy this story, but it is recommended to have a minor idea of how the game works.
Please keep in mind that this story is not canon to the game and it may have historical inaccuracies. The characters and game belong to Nacho Sama, this is just a fanfiction.

I'm not particularly concerned as long as I can relieve some stress by taking the life of some noseless dude.
"How dare it say I smell." I grumbled. I was offended and the fact that I had another good hour stuck in here added insult to injury.
"Fuck me."
I breathed out and then inhaled. 'Huh' I perked up on the hard chair and sniffed, my eyebrows furrowed at the smell.
'Sweet. Appetizingly sweet.' I mused, my eyes diverted to the left where a sounding clack noise perpetrated. My nose turned up and my eyes widened in shock at the sight gracing my pupils.
His visage was still as apathetic. And eyes that I was downright bad for still as fatigued-looking. But then, a big smile, as I've never seen before on his lips, was plastered on his face. And the blood splattered on his skin made it even more uncanny.
And the smell, oh god the smell. It was bewitching
My gaze met his in alarm. His teeth uncovered even further, eyes crinkling. "It would be my absolute pleasure, Cyst."
What the hell, Francis.

All the data is correct, there is a DDD stamp, the passport date is correct, and the reason for entering is reasonable. Even the punctuation is correct.
They looked at the list and faked a sad sigh:
"Izaack... You're not on the list."
Izaack's eyes quickly turned red and a growl escaped his mouth:
"Shit, it was almost perfect! I forgot about it! I knew you wouldn't be easily fooled..."
The doorman hummed sympathetically in response to the hysteria, drawing a mustache on the reporter's photo.
Who was actually first on the list.
Damn. Pissing off doppelgängers was so much fun.
Just like pissing off the neighbors.
Or: the only thing that people and doppelgängers could probably agree on was that this doorman was the most horrible person on the planet.

The year is 1955.
After years of humanity's struggle to survive under the attacks of the doppelgangers, the DDD came up with a solution. Walls. Thick, tall, walls for the sake of humanity. Across the world, cities are divided by these walls. No one, including doppelgangers, can get in or out, in the hopes of one day creating a society that doesn't have to live under the looming force of death. Within those cities more walls are constructed, in the form of apartment buildings: forced residency to keep humans safe in numbers.
Nearly a decade has passed since the walls went up, but the struggle to survive still looms as the doppelgangers reproduce seemingly as fast as they are exterminated. The door guards protect the apartment buildings from the threats, working together with the DDD to eliminate them.
It seems that things are slowly getting to a sense of normalcy. Humanity might be able to survive.
Until he made an appearance. Wearing the face of a resident from her building, the Milkman, Francis, he attempts to enter the building, and she is the only one able to stop him. His interest in her might just be what this world needs to finally tilt the scales for survival.
