He wasn’t one for hallucinations (unless he was under a drug of course) and he knows that hallucinations this vivid don’t just happen to an otherwise perfectly healthy person (well... his battle scars don't count). He’s also been trained to recognize when he is under a drug.
So… he was stuck here, in the past. He found himself thinking it wouldn’t be such a bad thing after all. Yes, the last mission had been successful, he had just met his crew and Grace showed him the Entity, contained. But at what cost… if he could save Ilsa and Luther, then this would be worth it.Or after the events of the last mission impossible movie, Ethan wakes up in his past body, during the first movie. Needless to say, things aren't going to be the same this time around.

Benji reached out, cupped Ethan’s cheek with his hand and Ethan leaned into it. He brushed his finger over Ethan’s skin. It was dry and brittle to the touch. As near as he could tell, Ethan was always flirting with malnutrition to some degree, but this was far worse than he’d ever seen him.
