Summary
The war is over. Now all that's left to do is rebuild an entire planet and figure out what's next for everyone on it- especially those who were initially part of the army attempting to destroy it. Catra is off to rebuild Salineas, eager to fix the destruction she caused and prove to everyone- herself most of all- that change is possible, and that she will never again be the woman she was. Mermista would love to believe her, but with the remains of her home still smoking from cannon fire, can she let her walls down long enough to recognize a kindred soul, particularly one plagued by the same green eyes in her nightmares?
Love comes in many forms. It can save worlds, rebuild kingdoms, burn away darkness and call people home. Only time and patience can say if the love found when one looks in the mirror and understands what stares back will help two broken people start to pick up their pieces and find a home for each jagged edge.
In the wake of devastation, with grief and pain sewn into the very fibers of their being and the next great threat just waiting in the shadows, can the Alliance depend on each other to see them through to the promised era of peace?
