Summary
In an alternate reality where the ninja have long since become celebrated heroes, Master Wu senses a powerful, ancient force one morning—a presence that not only disrupts the balance of the elements but is directly connected to the powers of the ninja. When their abilities suddenly begin to fade, Wu is left with only one choice: he sends Kai, Zane, Cole, and Jay on a mission to uncover the source of this power.
At the same time, Lloyd, a 16-year-old boy from a remote orphanage, is struggling to survive. He knows nothing of his origins or his powers—only that they are dangerous and must not be discovered. But when he steps in to protect a young boy from a brutal punishment, his abilities erupt uncontrollably and draw attention to him. The wrong kind of attention.
As the ninja move through shadows and cities in search of the mysterious boy, ancient forces begin to stir in secret—forces that are also hunting Lloyd. For what lies dormant within him is more than just power. It is a key. A connection. Perhaps even the one thing that could either save the world—or drag it into ruin.
And Lloyd? He has no idea that his fate is tied not only to the ninja but to the balance of all elements itself.
