Summary
For once, Matt Murdock is actually enjoying his life. The law firm Nelson & Murdock is going strong, he's happily dating Karen Page, and he has a pretty amazing new intern working for him—Peter Parker, who always seems to be hiding something. All in all, Matt's happy.
It's only a matter of time before Wilson Fisk tears it all down.
As the Kingpin amasses power after the blip, everything that Matt holds dear—his life, his love, his friends—lies in the balance. If he wants to keep everything together... he'll have to let the Devil out once again.

"Let every man, woman, and child who dies at my hands," Fisk began, then raised his voice higher. Matt winced. "Let their blood be on your head."
The smell of crusting blood and stitching filled Matt's nose. His ribs ached with every breath. There was nothing but the pain, the swelling and the searing, the agony of Fisk's own handiwork. Matt clenched his fists.
"And there will be blood, Mr. Murdock. When this city is in my hands... there will be more blood than even you can atone for."

“Peter?” Her voice, though kind, is like needles in his ears, and he winces in a slight grimace. She takes a seat in the chair next to him, and Peter can feel the tension rolling off her in waves. He wonders if that’s because his senses are really that broken at the moment or if what she’s about to say is really that hard for her.
“My name’s Aubrey,” she says, and her words are too soft, too cautious. Her fingers tighten around the manila folder in her hands, the quiet creak of the paper screaming in his head, and she gives Peter a smile that's barely there. “I'm your social worker.”
Her words hang heavy in the air, and somewhere a door slams shut as reality finally sinks in.

This is inspired by that death does wait, good_bones and you should totally check it out! Their writing is fantastic.
This is, in no way, canon compliant, to literally anything. I have watched maybe 5 episodes of Daredevil, haven’t watched the latest Spider-man, and have not seen all of the Avengers movies. I am using plot summaries for most of this, IF that.

They can go to hell.”
He doesn’t know how to communicate how small he felt in that alley, how useless. Like he’s not a cog nor a screw in the whole machine of the world—just an onlooker, a phantom, powerful enough to lift the dying man but not enough to save him. It’s like the spell all over again. It’s like being wiped out, being erased, being nothing.
