Yuuji and Yuta make contact in the early laps of the race, propelling his teammate Fushiguro as the new leader until the team makes him pit for a new set of soft tires. They leaves Satoru out to defend and the laps keeps accumulating until it’s clear he’s going to have make it to the end on his old tires. Because he is Satoru Gojo he manages it just fine and he wins for the first time, in his first race with his new team.

"Back 2,000 years ago, our ancestors reported times when sorcerers would disappear for days on end then return hostile. These sorcerers return unable to proper channel their cursed energy. Some of the elders reporting how they stare. They return simply aggressive and SILENT. Before the notes and signs of aggression they noted how these victims had a loss of appetite, fever, headaches, breathing issues and speech issues. The victim's only way of describing it was how their, "Vocal cords feel like they were cut with scissors." When they attempted to speak only blood would pour from their mouths. This infection aims to ruin and demolish any sort of ability to interact or communicate with the un-infected. After all cursed energy was over-exerted the husk of the person they were falls and lies with no ability to move. They fall into paralysis then into a coma. It's a tiny, five percent chance to wake up from this coma. If a victim IS able to recover they'll never have cursed energy again and it's highly likely they're mental health will be at an all time low. Very few victims have survived Twitching Delusions."

It was surprising, really, how often Megumi found himself stumbling over little reminders of Itadori like that. He wouldn’t have thought Itadori had lived in the dorms long enough to leave an impression beyond some swiftly torn down tacky posters. But Itadori had that sort of presence, where it seemed he couldn’t help but fill up a place, and within days Megumi had started to think of a certain pair of chopsticks, a specific chair at the dining table, the far side of the couch - all of these things as Itadori’s.
And then the boy was gone, and Megumi was stuck tripping over these reminders everywhere he went.

Objectively, Gojo has a good life. He knows this. He has a stable job teaching fantastic kids whom he adores. He has an impeccable luxury apartment and a housekeeper that comes by weekly to ensure that it stays impeccable. He even has a trust fund that pays for his every whim and more. Not to mention, he's tall and incredibly good-looking.
It’s great; it really is. He’s lucky.
Gojo’s charmed but monotonous life is turned upside down when his troubled student Megumi shows up at his doorstep. As Gojo faces the true gravity of the situation, he's forced to reckon with both the emptiness of his seemingly perfect existence and a past he thought he had buried long ago.
