Summary
Genesis had watched his fair share of Scarlet’s bombs roll to a stop at the feet of Wutaian warriors, watched them panic in uncertainty of when the thing would blow, or if it would at all (Scarlet’s work was more faulty than she would have the general public believe). Now, however, he was quite sure he could attest to just how those bombs might feel, if feel they could.
Genesis, feeling left out when Angeal is sent on a mission with Sephiroth, pushes himself a little too hard during training.

Summary
Genesis ranked Second first out of the both of them, just a month before her sixteenth birthday.
Though they trained together as often as they could, Genesis got the feeling that Angeal was having a difficult time adjusting to the changes— still, he seemed just as overjoyed about the news as Genesis had been, and they celebrated in the only way they knew how; they carved out a small handful of hours to sit in each other’s company. No longer could they drop everything to run through apple orchards and no longer could Genesis, skin bared to the burning sun, climb for fruit to be cut into fractions with Angel’s pocket knife. But, they celebrated, splitting an orange in half to share with each other. During May, their trophy was the first fresh orange either of them had ever eaten.
“I told you!” Genesis had said. “Next, you'll rank up and we can hit First on the same day! Six more months from now, I bet.”
“Genesis,” Angeal laughed. “I don't know about that.”
“I do! I bet he wasn't this fast.”
“Maybe not. I don't know.”Angeal knocked shoulders with Genesis anyway, and they were comfortable together. Genesis would hold the bulk of the hope to share between them.

Summary
When Genesis wakes up in the past, before the whole degradation issues started, he knows he has one chance to fix it all. Sure, maybe he's not the Goddess' first choice, but if he can save just one of the three generals, he is going to do with. With Aerith's words of encouragement and Cloud, the real Champion, thrown into the mix, Genesis might just save the world.
(This is completely a Genesis Fix-It story, because I didn't see any. So here is my attempt. Timeline is a little funky, but I tried.)
