Will blinks, disoriented, as if waking from a dream.
“Look at yourself.”
He absorbs the vision of his own reflection. He sees a tall, slim figure in a pink satin blouse and a frilly pleated miniskirt. Ringlets of chin-length dark hair are pinned back elegantly with sparkly barrettes. Heavy, dramatic makeup complements the bright blue eyes and sharp jawline. The figure looks nervous and self-conscious, swaying slightly atop high-heeled silver stilettos that emphasize the lean muscle of those long stocking-clad legs.
Will is stunned. It’s not like before when he couldn’t recognize himself. Now, he looks like a girl, but he still looks like himself, too. The paradox boggles his mind. He struggles to think or speak.
“Thank you,” he finally croaks. “It’s perfect.”

Will Graham, with an aversion to physical touch and intense paranoia due to his job consulting for the FBI, is finally willing to let his daughter, Abigail, embrace the young, independent woman she was always bound to become.
