Kirishima Eijiro and Bakugo Katsuki have always been inseparable, but after graduating from UA, Kirishima leaves for an internship in America under the pro hero *Knight Forge*. Despite their bond, Bakugo struggles with Kirishima’s departure, masking his emotions behind a tough exterior. The two don't speak for five years.
Now, Bakugo is a top hero, driven by his need to be the strongest, but feels an emptiness without Kirishima by his side. Meanwhile, Kirishima has grown into his own in America, facing challenges and sharpening his skills. When he returns to Japan, Bakugo is forced to confront the emotions he buried deep down.

“Wait, Deku!” The door shut, making Katsuki’s mouth snap closed. He wasn’t the only newbie. He put his head in his hands and tried to contain the uncertainty bubbling in him.
“Bakugou?” A voice called across the room.
Katsuki knew that voice in an instant. “Kirishima?” He asked the question before he even turned around to look at Kirishima. He looked exactly like he did the last time that Katsuki saw him, except that he had aged like a fine wine. He still had that red spiky hair and the same stupid, shirtless hero costume. Katsuki couldn't even remember the last time they were in a room together. What was that? Seven– no eight years ago?

What was once never ending, scathing insults and pitting himself against the world, became indignant scowls, annoyed eyerolls and ballbusting that was mostly bark and maybe a tiny bite. But that younger, insecure version of himself who raged in an effort to keep the fear at bay, was still inside of him. He would always be there, blazing against Bakugou's chest for being soft and weak and relying on others like a little bitch.
