Now Thomas sits, watching the sun rise over the glistening waves as they crash into the shore. It's, peaceful . Bird's flutter above the water, chittering to each other. There's splashes that cut through the water, little animals he's too far away to see. It's tethers him, watching the animals exist as they are. Exist in a way he'd never been allowed to before now. There's something so mystical in just watching the world exist. It's somethng he never thought he'd see. A peace far beyond imagination. After years of running and fighting, there's something so relieving in sitting here now, watching time pass. Newt would've loved it .

However, with the Crawley family and the Downton Abbey staff, it is making it much more difficult to keep things hidden.

While I do think the idea of Richard Ellis being a fleeting love interest for Thomas was more realistic, I enjoyed their chemistry too much and was not happy with A New Era, so this is a kind of rewrite - but only of the Thomas storyline, of course. A (properly) happy ending for the silly boy (his words, not mine).
