He’d expected Tommy to be there when his dad picked him up. Freppa as well, if he was completely honest. But neither of them were present, and he didn’t see them even multiple days after. It terrified him, even if he would never admit it. He mostly stayed in bed for the time he spent at home, until his father had practically forced him to meet up with his bandmates again.
Or: Määnin returns home from rehab to find everyone has changed apart from himself.
