Summary
Dean Winchester and Castiel Novak are headed to Hogwarts.
Castiel, as a member of the old Novak wizarding family, is fully expected to be sorted into Ravenclaw, like all of his ancestors before him. Dean, as a Muggle-born, has no idea what the Houses even are. With a surprise sorting and classes starting soon afterwards, they're both pitched headfirst into the unknown - and they find themselves in competition with each other almost at once, both of them needing to prove themselves to the people they left at home, and the people with them at Hogwarts.
Over the course of their seven years at Hogwarts, Dean and Cas learn what it means to prove yourself, what it takes to discover who you are, what it feels like to fall in love, and what it is they'll fight for - what matters most of all.

Maybe it was just because Cas was borrowing a normal-looking married guy's face, but even though he was an awkward little dork with nary a clue in his head about the meaning of boundaries or personal space, Dean had always figured that when it came down to it, he'd want normal guy stuff. And yeah, Cas had missed the mark when Dean dragged him to that brothel, and yeah, Cas had turned him down the time Dean went through a bout of temporary insanity and came onto him, but after all that he'd turned up married to that chick that fished him out of the river. And the moment Cas went full human, with all the drives that entailed, he'd wound up in bed with as pretty a girl as Dean's ever seen. Or at least, a girl-shaped reaper. So obviously it was just Dean he didn't want, not women in general.
Dean drowns that thought out with beer, because it's a stupid, pointless fucking thought.

Dean has hit rock-bottom when he wakes up from a coma after causing an accident while driving drunk. He doesn’t see that it's rock-bottom, though. He believes he's still in free-fall because the darkness that has killed John Winchester and has almost claimed Dean’s life, too, is all he can see.
But then Dr. Novak steps into his life, a guiding light in Dean’s darkest hour, and no one can blame him if he notices just how attractive the doctor is. If it only weren’t for the problem that he’s falling hard for this man, which will most certainly lead to a broken heart and more whiskey. Because that’s what happens when a washed up drunk like Dean Winchester falls for a doctor who is sexier than Dr. Sexy. Or isn’t it?
Then there are also Dr. Novak’s brother Gabriel, who isn’t ashamed of watching Dr. Sexy, and Balthazar, who has a tendency to blurt out the most inappropriate comments at the most inopportune times. And of course don't forget the issue of family. Because Sammy is in Stanford and better off without Dean. And Dean is happy for him, he really is, but that doesn’t mean that it doesn’t still hurt. Summary
Sam finished the trials and surprisingly enough it didn't kill him. He's just exhausted beyond all imagination but that could happen eventually. Crowley, on the other hand, really should be dead. He isn't though as he is... human. And so is Cas because the closing of the gates of hell apparently couldn't stop Metatron. In hindsight, it all could be much worse, they are alive after all. Only now Dean is stuck with an ex-angel, who has trouble accepting his need to pee, an ex-demon, who wants to redeem himself to humanity (mainly in the form of Sam Winchester), and his younger brother, who is healing suspiciously slow for someone who's being treated like a real princess.

Dean Winchester was the head muscle and number two in charge of the most prominent and prolific crime syndicate in the area. His name sparked fear, and his presence was enough to make most cower. So for him to be in a police station, and without a troop of lawyers flitting around him, was probably pretty shocking. But for once, he was here on his own business, not the Family’s.
The family in question, the Morningstar empire, were exactly what you’d expect them to be. White collar crimes backed with violent tendencies. They were rich, powerful, and untouchable. Others called them the “mob” but Dean just called them “The Family” and it was the only business he had ever known. Dean liked to call his position “enforcement,” but really, he was the face of their business. He was in charge of making sure that the money continued to flow in from debts being paid, for fear of Dean coming knocking on their door. He was the Family’s protector, their soldier. And he was very, very good at his job.
