Dieter’s a good guy, he’s considerate of the group, excels unexpectedly at treating all of their medical needs, gets them into places that few left in the world can, tries to take every menial chore when they stop for the night until Vanderohe stomps up to him scrubbing weapons and bloodstains out of everyone’s shirts and frogmarches him away. There’s no doubt in anyone’s mind that Dieter’s become an integral part of their team.
But he’s not exactly… fierce.
