This has been a rollercoaster of a year for Buck. Get broken up with, sister gets kidnapped, best friend moves away, move into his house, everyone thinks your in love with your straight best friend, almost lose your whole team in a explosion, lose the only father figure you’ve ever had, best friend abruptly moves back, and lastly move into a new place again. I’m everything that I've strived to be
So do I look like him?
Forty minutes before his shift, Buck stood nervously in front of the mirror, tugging at different parts of his uniform, suddenly self-conscious. He’d worn these clothes for years, feeling as comfortable in them as his everyday clothes — and yet now, he felt like an imposter. Like a child dressing in his father’s work clothes.

AU where Sal and Buck live in the same apartment building, separated by nothing but a thin wall.
Neither one likes the other—at least, that’s the story they’re sticking to. Every encounter they have ends in sharp barbs, snippy remarks and passive-aggressive niceties. Each interaction between them only deepens their mutual annoyance. But beneath the tension lies a steady burn of attraction, smoldering hotter with every clash.
Can they figure out how to manage the fire between them—or will it end up burning them?
