Jazz loved her little brother. God, she loved him. But ever since she found out he was Phantom, something inside her had shifted. She knew he was just a kid. She knew he was trying to protect Amity. She knew he would never harm her.
But she also knew what he could do—possess people, flatten their house with barely any effort. And no matter how much she hated herself for it, fear still coiled in her chest whenever she thought about him.
That fear was one of the biggest reasons she ran to Gotham for her studies. Distance felt like a solution. Danny had things handled: their parents, the GIW, the ghosts. They could talk online; she wouldn’t have to stand in the same room as the thing she loved and feared.
But Gotham was its own kind of nightmare. And when she woke up in a hospital bed, bruised, hurting, and suddenly very small in a very big city, she realized she needed him.
After two years of avoiding his presence, she had to call her little brother for help.Series

How pathetic.
Out of everything he could possibly have to fear, it’s thunder that makes him quake. He knows it’s not something he should be scared of, as this storm will (most likely) not hurt him, but the sudden loud sound and flash of lights always make him feel uneasy.

Summary
It is irrational. It's childish. But the image of his mother, tears in her eyes and a warm touch on his skin, makes him want to hold on to this moment.
So he simply nods. And blows out the small candle.
"You have to be strong, habibi" whispers his mother, sliding a hand down his back in a gesture he doesn't know how to receive.
Damian tries not to tense up. He fails.
"Shujaa" she says one last time, laying him back on his bed with unfamiliar tenderness. And when she disappears into the darkness, Damian feels something break inside him.
The next morning, and in the days that follow, his mother is nowhere to be found. No matter how much he waits, no matter how many mistakes he makes on purpose, she never comes back for him.
Or; Instead of Talia take Damien to Bruce, she disappears from the boy's life. Years later, the family he didn't know he had breaks into the league of assassins.
And Damien hates them.

He took a deep breath.
Apparently he hadn’t rescued a kitten, nor a little girl, but a mix of both.When Damian finds an abandoned kitten freezing and starving in the middle of January, he can’t help himself: he takes her home.
He’s eighteen, he’s Robin, he’s highly trained.
He’s also lonely — and of course he knows what’s happening is normal. All kids, all birds, eventually leave the nest; he is just growing up, and the rest of his family is simply growing old, or apart.

Tim’s stomach drops. His gaze snags on the shifting symbols crawling over the magic user’s arms, glowing a sickly, poisonous red. He thrashes, fury sparking even as the world starts to blur. Because if anyone was going to chain Damian down, it sure as hell wasn’t going to be this freak. Only he gets to put up with the brat. Only he gets to mess with him.
The magic circles flare. And before everything goes black, Tim has one final thought:
He really, really fucking hates magic.
Or, Tim and Damian are both forced into a spell in which they cannot leave each other’s side. It goes swimmingly, as you can imagine.
