Summary
How many times was he going to meet him? How many times was he going to lose him? From the events of centuries ago, to the events that happened now, how far did he need to run before they inevitably found each other again? If tragedy was how their story was always meant to end, then he wouldn't look for him anymore to prevent it. All he could ask was that the other did the same.
Of course, his companion was never one to follow such a selfish request like this, even from the very beginning.
