The result of their endeavor create refugee camps around Minrathous, as the freed people swell the local population.
The situation risk degenerating however when supplies begin disappearing and unexpected additions to the Liberati population occurs. Neve Gallus and Ulpia "Rook" Mercar are asked to investigate to potentially prevent a problem.
The situation becomes a race against time when shipments of Lyrium and Gaatlok are also reported missing. A story about love and the varied form it takes along the journey.

Rook Ingellvar's journey began as a rogue child raised by the "village" of the Grand Necropolis, drifting from house to house and eventually from town to town. Her path led her to the Lighthouse, where she now stands as the new leader of the Veilguard. But the arrival of the renowned Professor Volkarin, Senior Mortalitasi, along with Varric’s unexpected presence, leaves Rook wondering if her eagerness to lead just wrote her a check her ass can't cash.

This is the sequel to More of a Rook than a Crow, which in turn is technically a sequel to Dragon Age the Veilguard. This means major spoilers for Veilguard!
Thedas is saved, which means that Isabella can return to the fold as Lucanis begins his new work as well. However, with a strange letter addressed to her at Villa Dellamorte, she is asked to discuss something that Viago was hoping to sweep under the rug.
The King of Antiva has learned that Rook was a Crow, and Rook has been summoned for an audience with the King. Only, Isabella hasn't gone by that name for several months and very few people knew who Rook really was. Is it a trap, or does the King really just want to extend his personal thanks to her for saving the world?
And when cloaked figures appear to pave the path for those from across the sea, it seems that Isabella might need to get the Veilguard back together to find out exactly what is going on.
