Summary
Sombrasil was once a great land, united under a divine, benevolent king: the God of Time, Amser. He ruled, unwavering, for hundreds of years. But just as his demigod triplets were coming of age, he died, leaving the world without Time and freezing all the souls he had dominion over. After a hundred years had passed, the world was righted, freeing the mortals from their stupor, only to leave them stranded in a decrepit world. The triplets each took one of the God-King's artefacts and a piece of his land. Now, twelve years later, tensions are rising as rumors of a prophecy spread. A prophecy that hints that, maybe, one of the triplets will finally unite Sombrasil again...through force.

After all Otto, Wing, Laura, and Shelby have been through, they’re sure the night will be a piece of cake; however, this new test turns out to be far more intensive than any of them could have expected.

Summary
This is a collection of ficlets written as a practice exercise to improve certain skills I am working on. It works like this: I use a random number generator to select two people from a list of 52 H.I.V.E. characters and write for fifteen minutes using the next Whump of July 2021 prompt on my list. The first character selected is always the recipient of the injury or other painful circumstance; the second character is always a bystander responding to the scene. I may not cheat by switching the order of the characters, nor may I cheat by "rolling the dice" again, as it were. I do write for fifteen minutes, but, for the sake of clarity and completion, I let myself finish each scene after my time is up so that there is a reasonable sense of closure, etc.
There is no plot or consistency from chapter to chapter, so they may be read in any order and should not be read as part of a coherent story. Feel free to skip to the duos you find interesting. Due to the randomized nature of my prompts, there is a lot of alternate-universe imagination present in these ficlets—each forward author's note will have an AU notice to give context and a CW notice for any additional warnings necessary.
