“I thought once you hit puberty you’d stop biting people, ad’ika.”
Kal pinched the bridge of his nose as he sighed, half of him wondering if it were possible he would be able to go back to sleep. It would figure on his first day off in four months—following the win of his most recent case—that he would get a call from Cody and Fox’s school to tell him he needed to come in.
“Well, maybe you thought wrong,” Fox retorted, but there was something in his voice that made Kal pause.
He sat up, leaning against the headboard of his bed, blinking the sleep out of his eyes as he scrubbed at his stubble.
“Fox?” Kal asked cautiously, “Is everything okay?”
His pup sighed harshly and something squeezed painfully in Kal’s chest.
“Can you please just come here?” Fox asked, his voice softer, “I need you, buir, and the school needs someone to talk to. Please.”
“I’ll be right there,” Kal promised.
When Kal gets a call that his pup needs him, he answers, but things aren't all that they seem.

Jaster had never given him a reason to think that anything about his biology would push him away and the man had taken the news about the quirks of Obi-Wan’s body with stride—and normally a bit of desire in his eyes.
And still, Obi-Wan hadn’t known how exactly to explain to the man why dualsex people married and had children so early.
Stewjoni biology was weird. There was no other way for Obi-Wan to try to describe it in less than a standard novel. Touch was a cornerstone and those who were dualsex needed some extra care. Still, Obi-Wan wasn't sure how to tell his husband—who was going to the frontlines to protect his Empire—that he needed sex to maintain a comfortable hormone level throughout his pregnancy. Left with few options, Jaster realizes there's only one solution.
Now if only Kal and Jaster could convince Obi-Wan of their plan.
