Lu Guang had chosen to live for Cheng Xiaoshi a long time ago. It was the first time he’d seen him die. Maybe even before that. If you think about it too long, living for someone else's sake is a pretty foolish thing to do, but it's a little more complicated than that. Living for someone else is both a selfish and selfless act. Selfless in that you put the safety and wellbeing of that other person above your own. Selfish in the fact that you can’t live without them.

The other sighed, “Do you have any idea how much work you’re making me do, running off like this?”
Cheng Xiaoshi sheepishly smiled, “Ahh, well you know me! I just can’t sit still! And isn’t it unbelievable that I can’t take a day off on my birthday!? No, no, I can’t sit back and relax, I have to go to events all overr… It’s so boring!”
He held a finger over his mouth, “So won’t you please keep it a secret? If I’m gonna sing on my birthday.. I want to do it for the people, not those stuffy old farts! I don’t care if they’re sponsoring me or whatever, I first and foremost became a singer because I wanted to spread music to people. The kind that could change hearts.”
Lu Guang stared at him, before sighing, and pulling him into a more secluded area. “Fine, but we’re getting you a new disguise. Who do you think you are? Superman? You’ll be seen through in a heartbeat.”
Cheng Xiaoshi laughed as his bodyguard saw fit to drag him away, not caring about being careful or fragile with him as if he’d shatter in an instant or if he’d immediately reprimand someone for being too touchy.
