Techno looked at the person sprawled at her feet. He had fallen unconscious the moment Techno unsheathed her sword and was now as still as stone. The person had a hand on his head as if dizzy and fell to the ground. Her orders were to raid in and take everything they could with them. She felt like she recognized this person, but from where she’s not sure. Techno continued to study the person even through the chaos all around her. The person had freckles under his eyes and on his nose, his skin was the color of milk in coffee. Techno was forced to stop studying the person, when a defender of L’manburg came over to attack her. She unsheathed her sword with a Shing, pink braid swinging in the motion, she made a quick SLASH and her opponent was down. The person Techno was studying started to blink open their eyes and sit up.
The moment Techno saw the lime green eyes she recognized him, “Clay?”

Sometimes, prince Tommy wished he could disappear. He couldn’t stand the way people looked at him, like they could only see a political pawn to gain control over Flower Fall, a symbol of avian dominance in their mixed-origin country, a nubile prize to marry into nobility, a boy.
But once Techno gave him an invisibility potion, Tommy could vanish at any time! No one could look at him wrong if they couldn’t see him, right? Suddenly, Tommy didn’t have a care in the world…aside from the implication his brother wanted him to disappear.
For adopted crown prince Techno, all he wanted was to be seen. As a useful propaganda prop, sure, but the flashier a target he made, the safer Tommy would be. Nothing more than a decoy prince to draw the assassins away from the real royal family. For as much as they loved each other, Techno knew his family wanted him to disappear. And if the many assassins didn’t manage to take him out, his parents would ensure it themselves.
But that was fine. Techno would sacrifice his life for Tommy, the phantom of his protection to forever remain always at his side, never in his sight.

Tommy Innit was exploring in the city of Essempi with Tubbo Underscore and Ranboo Beloved when he (quite literally) stumbled upon a glowing amulet. He would have laughed in your face if you told him object no larger than his hand would proceed to completely alter the trajectory of his life, and yet, that would be his reality. Concerns about his overdue Geometry homework fell to the backburner as he took up the role of a child soldier in a war that no human this side of the millennium could remember.
Though maybe it would have always been this way. Prime willing, Tommy will get out of this mentally intact.
