Summary
Eddie was good at compartmentalizing: his happiness, his fears, his grief, the things he couldn’t name... But Buck didn’t fit into a single box. No, he was more than that. Buck was the quiet laughter over late night beers, careful not to wake Christopher down the hall; he was the steady hands on bad calls that helped Eddie focus; and he was the way Christopher’s smile grew brighter whenever he walked in with their favorite cookies in hand.
Buck wasn’t one to overthink things, especially not friendships. He helped Eddie cook instead of ordering takeout, no matter how late it got; teased him relentlessly about his coffee obsession and still brewed him his favorite grind; and laughed at Christopher’s endless, repetitive jokes. There was nothing to investigate further. This was what Buck brought to friendships. Nothing more than that. Really.
Or,
5 times people assumed Buck and Eddie had already confessed their feelings and 1 time they finally do.
(and yes the title is from 'Whatta Man' cause it represents a historical moment)

Summary
“It was a date. When you and Marisol ran into me and Tommy, it was a date.”
“Marisol thought she was pregnant and I realized that I do actually want another kid, but not with her.”
The simultaneous, overlapping confessions hang in the air like an executioner's axe as Buck and Eddie stare at each other with wide eyes, both blue screening a little as they process the dual bombs just dropped.
Eddie recovers first, his head shaking slightly. “Wait, you and Tommy? So you’re-?”
Buck makes a pained noise, hands flying through the air once he finally gets his brain working again. “Uh uh, that is not the important thing here; Marisol is pregnant?!”
-
Buck's coming out scene looks a little different when Eddie admits that he wants to have a baby.

The night Buck coughed up blood and collapsed in Bobby's back garden, he was surrounded by friends, loved ones, and children. Each of them loved him, each of them had a reaction to his near death experience. The show doesn't go into detail, so I did.

Summary
Bobby tries to imagine Robby at age thirteen.
Robby, who hasn’t quite gotten the hang of walking without a steadying hand to hold. Robby, his baby, at thirteen? Bobby tries to imagine it, recalls the kids he’s met at work around that age.
A thirteen year old, embarrassed, who set fire to a dead bush with an illicit cigarette. A thirteen year old, sick, who had been dared to eat fifteen worms. A thirteen year old, scared, who was pinned after a car crash. A thirteen year old, dead, whose friends had called too late.
Bobby looks at this thirteen year old, alone, and decides he can stay a while.
In a city not too far from Hershey, Pennsylvania, new father Bobby Nash takes on the responsibility of getting a runaway kid home safe. It takes a little longer than anticipated.

Summary
It’d be good for Buck to have another cat around him. If Bobby’s lucky, Eddie’s mellow temperament would rub off on his crazy orange menace and make him less of a terror.
Of course, that was delusional of him to hope so. If anything, the two were even worse together.
Buck pawing at people’s legs as a distraction while Eddie stole something off their plate. Buck dragging gloves or socks into Bobby’s office like trophies while Eddie followed behind to drop the stolen items into Bobby’s trash can. Napping in the most random places and therefore forcing everyone to check the engine every time just in case they were inside. Following people around and plopping down belly up at their feet like two meowing speed bumps. Knocking random stuff off the shelves.
Just last week, the two had stepped on the PA mic, Buck broadcasting a steady stream of purrs and random meows throughout the entire firehouse until Hen found Eddie serenely perched on the button.
Bobby somehow ended up adopting not one, but two demonic cats.

"We'll figure it out. We always do," Buck reassures him and it sounds so simple.
Bobby's always admired the bright optimism the kid holds onto. It's rare to see it waver and Bobby doesn't want to ever be the cause of its diminishment.
However—
"I fucked up," his voice comes out more broken than he wanted and his eyes fall shut again as he grips the edge of the kitchen sink.

Summary
Buck takes this moment to finally say, “I'm Buck by the way.”
“Bobby,” the man—Bobby—answers.
Buck looks at Bobby, studying him. “Yeah, you look like a Bobby.”
Bobby's eyebrows both furrow while also raise in confusion. “What is that supposed to mean?”
Buck shrugs. “It means you look like a Bobby.”
Bobby laughs, disbelief filling the air but it sounds good natured. “Whatever kid.”
Or, Bobby fresh out of rehab is on a roadtrip across the States as recommended by his sponsor Wendall. He doesn't know what he's looking for, but Wendall told him it's more about the journey anyway than the destination. Buck's been on his roadtrip of soul searching for four years now and still hasn't found what he's looking for. The two of them run into each other and find out that maybe it wasn't a what they were looking for but a who.
Or, or, a story of healing and finding one's self again.

Summary
Looking at Maddie now, he could see it was worsening. She looked paler than he’d ever seen her, worse than when she’d been kidnapped and terrorized by Doug. At least then, she’d been with Buck when she got transported to the hospital, and at least she could breathe easier knowing she was finally safe from Doug and that he would never touch her again.
Except she looked haunted. She looked like something invisible was looming over her shoulder like a black cloud, and he could tell that it was much more than baby blues.

Bobby runs into Maddie as she's leaving Jee-Yun at the firehouse.
